Appendices are your friend in regulated renewals

Layer the customer-facing page with short sentences, then move definitions, fee tables, and jurisdictional notes into appendices with clear anchors ("see Appendix B, clause 4").
Use consistent numbering across channels so email, PDF, and portal copies reference the same clause IDs. Inconsistent numbering is a top source of legal churn.
When counsel requests a reversion to dense language, ask which obligation drives the wording. Often a footnote can carry the statutory text while the body stays readable.
Appendices also help accessibility: screen-reader users can choose to engage detail progressively rather than wading through a wall of legalese up front.
